Tell us you’re attending via Action Network here.
The meeting takes place at 7pm on Tuesday 17 September. The venue is at 388 Wightman Road, London N8 0NA. We’ll hear from both Palestinian and Jewish Standing Together leaders, via Zoom, who will give a presentation on the movement’s work and the latest situation on the ground.
We are also delighted to welcome, in person, Lana Ikelan. Lana is a 24-year-old Arab-Palestinian journalist and peace activist from East Jerusalem. She currently works for Standing Together as a social media content creator. She has previously worked with the environmental NGO EcoPeace. Lana will also share her perspective on the fight for peace and equality in Israel-Palestine.
The meeting will consist of an introduction from UK Friends of Standing Together, followed by presentations from our speakers, with an opportunity for questions and discussion. We welcome discussion and debate, but please keep all questions and comments respectful. Sis. Bibi Khan will also say a few words on behalf of our hosts at the London Islamic Cultural Society.
Guests are asked to removed their shoes before entering the hall.
