Show your support for anti-war protest in Tel Aviv on 29 February
Standing Together, Women Wage Peace, Peace Now, and other anti-war and anti-occupation organisations in Israel will hold another protest in Tel Aviv on 29 February, to demand a ceasefire and the release of hostages.
Recent anti-war and anti-government protests in Israel have met with significant police repression. At a protest on Saturday 17 February to demand Netanyahu’s resignation and immediate elections, police charged protesters with horses, used water cannons, and arrested 18 people.
We’re asking supporters to stand with Standing Together and others protesting in Israel to demand a ceasefire by:
• Posting a message of support on your own social media platforms. There’s a suggested text you can adapt below, with some graphics. Remember to tag Standing Together (@omdimbeyachad on Twitter, @standing.together.english on Instagram, and @standingtogetherenglish on Facebook), and UK Friends of Standing Together (@omdimbeyachaduk on Twitter, plus local chapters @nottsfost on Twitter and @bristolfost on Instagram).
I’m standing with Standing Together and others protesting in Tel Aviv on Thursday 29 February to demand a ceasefire and the release of hostages. Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel making a stand against war and occupation need our support. Only peace will bring security!
