Over 100 at London Islamic Cultural Society for London Friends of Standing Together meeting

We gathered to hear from Palestinian and Jewish leaders of the movement, and to discuss what we can do to support them.

On Tuesday 17 September, over 100 people filled the hall at the London Islamic Cultural Society, a mosque and community centre in Haringey, north London, to hear from Palestinian and Jewish leaders of Standing Together.

Manar Qaedan and Itamar Avneri, members of the movement’s elected leadership, addressed the meeting via Zoom, and Lana Ikelan, Palestinian journalist and peace activist, currently working for Standing Together as a social media content creator, spoke in person.

We also heard words of welcome from Bibi Khan, on behalf of our hosts at LICS. We hope to make videos from the event available soon.
