Help UK Friends of Standing Together stand support Palestinian olive farmers
Several UK Friends of Standing Together activists are travelling to the West Bank in Palestine this autumn, as part of the Protect The Harvest mobilisation. Two of them, Tyrone and Jo from our Bristol branch, are fundraising to help support their trip. Can you help?
They write:
Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,
We will be going to the West Bank at the end of October to oppose settler violence against Palestinians during the olive harvest season. This is part of an initiative called Protect the Harvest. At the moment the ethnic cleansing in the West Bank has only gotten worse, with the current government actively facilitating a scenario where it will not be possible to have a Palestinian state.
We will be going with a group called Standing Together — the largest Jewish-Palestinian movement for peace, justice, and equal rights in Israel, who have been opposing war and occupation since they first started 11 years ago. They are asking for people across the globe to come to the West Bank and oppose settler violence. Please consider donating to my fundraiser to support the costs. Any extra money will go either to others going to the West Bank to do the same or Standing Together.
