Hear from Palestinian and Israeli supporters of Standing Together’s “Yes, Peace” campaign
For the past few months, Standing Together has been conducting the Yes, Peace campaign, in order to build support not only for ending the current war on Gaza, but also for the longer-term prospect of an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement, that would guarantee both peoples their right to national self-determination, independence, safety and security.
See below for testimonies from some supporters of the campaign.
Yuval, a Jewish citizen of Israel, whose son and daughter-in-law were killed on 7 October, and whose grandchildren were kidnapped and released in the hostage deal.
Nasertat, a Palestinian citizen of Israel from the village of Kfar Yassif, whose son was killed during a Hezbollah attack on northern Israel. He donated his dead son’s organs, benefiting several patients:
Mai, a Jewish citizen of Israel, whose grandfather was kidnapped on 7 October by Hamas militants from Kibbutz Nir Oz, and murdered in captivity:
Warda, a Palestinian citizen of Israel, who is a college lecturer, and fired from her job because of her opposition to the war:
The campaign also put up billboard in many cities across Israel, in both Jewish as well as Arab-Palestinian cities, with the message: “There Must Be Another Way — Yes, Peace”:
Standing Together remains the most prominent movement on the ground inside Israeli society that engages directly with people, online and in the streets, and tries to shift public opinion towards supporting both ending the current war on Gaza, but also our long term goal of Israeli-Palestinian peace, based on ending the occupation.
We will continue this work in 2025.
