Wednesday, 11 November 2026, 6:00 pm
📍 Central London, venue details shared with registered attendees
Join UK Friends of Standing Together for a rare opportunity to hear from Alon-Lee Green and Rula Daood, members of the Standing Together leadership, in person. They’ll discuss the movement’s latest work, how international solidarity can help their efforts, and will reflect on developments in the political situation following elections due to take place in Israel on 27 October. They will be joined by Sabreen Msarwi, a Palestinian activist and former member of the Standing Together leadership, now based in London.
The Israeli government’s settlement project in the West Bank is accelerating. Settler violence, aided and abetted by state forces, continues. In Gaza, air strikes continue, despite a nominal ceasefire, with no sign of reconstruction. Within Palestinian communities in Israel, a deadly crime wave, fuelled by years of underfunding a lack of social provision, has claimed hundreds of lives.
But there is a movement within Israel fighting for change. Standing Together mobilises Palestinian and Jewish citizens of Israel against war, occupation, and racism, in pursuit of freedom, security, and equal rights for all.
Their work includes campaigning on social issues inside Israel, resistance to war and militarism, and mobilising to stand with Palestinians facing settler and state violence in the occupied West Bank.
In 2024, direct action by Standing Together defeated efforts by far-right settlers to sabotage aid trucks bound for Gaza. The movement is currently running a voter-mobilisation drive amongst Palestinian citizens, as well as supporting Palestinian olive farmers against settler violence during the harvest season.
