Building labour movement support for Protect The Harvest

Two local branches of the National Eduction Union (NEU), the largest union for school workers, and the Bristol North West Constituency Labour Party have recently passed resolutions supporting Protect The Harvest.

NEU branches in the Isle of Wight and Leeds voted to support the mobilisation, with the latter agreeing a donation of £100.

And a supporter in Bristol North West Constituency Labour Party (CLP) writes:

"We passed a Protect the Harvest motion on 18 September, tabled by a local member who is also active in the Bristol branch of FoST.  What resonated with the meeting was the imposition of sanctions towards West Bank settlers as announced recently by the Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, as well as the practical action of Standing Together in sending witnesses to settler and IDF violence.

"Two volunteers from Bristol FoST, Tyrone Falls and Jo McLellan, are going to the West Bank as part of the protective presence. The CLP was keen to invite them back upon their return to hear about their experiences. A collection at the meeting raised £110 and a crowdfunder is gaining support."
