As ceasefire deal comes closer, take action to save lives

Standing Together is renewing its “Aid to Gaza” campaign.

This is a critical moment. With reports of an imminent ceasefire and hostage deal making headlines, we are cautiously hoping that an agreement will finally be signed, a full agreement for the release of all hostages and the complete end of the war. For the hostages, for Palestinians in Gaza, and for us all. This must end.

But the reality is that with or without a deal, the humanitarian situation in Gaza is catastrophic. Many Palestinians have been living in makeshift tent camps and crowded into schools-turned-shelters for months without real protection from the cold and rain, which have already proven deadly. As the cold winter temperatures drop and tent camps flood, we have launched a new phase of our aid campaign: we will be providing warm clothes, shoes, tarps to insulate tents, and blankets in the coming weeks.

You helped us collect hundreds of trucks full of humanitarian aid in our last push, and we are seeing the results. Over 120 trucks have made it into Gaza already, with more entering each week, and we are receiving heartwarming videos and photos of people receiving the much-needed aid.

While our grassroots organizing is focused on building political power in our society to end the war and move toward a path to peace, this aid campaign has enabled us to have a practical impact on the ground in Gaza too. The suffering and hardship will continue even after the war ends, but your help is crucial – it allows us to help those who need it most.
